7.8.15

We are settled into our new apartment and the last of the boxes are slowly disappearing. #halleluiah

Daniel and I have done a lot the last few weeks. Some of things have been fun, others...not so fun. Like last week when I realized my car tag had been expired for a month...Definitely not fun.

I've taken lots of pictures of the Gentry happenings so I'll do my best not to overload you. :)

Here we are celebrating me getting older. Love each of these humans so much! #22

This handsome man took me on an adventure for my birthday. We got passes for Tallulah Gorge and spent the day climbing 700 stairs, boulder hopping, hiking, and sliding down a waterfall. It was a glorious day. He makes my life exciting.

Summer isn't summer without lots of pool time.

Snapped this while hanging out on my family's farm. #sheislovely
We recently celebrated this fabulous couple's 25th Anniversary.
While trying to take pictures...Barnabas the dog decided to join the shoot. This is real life y'all. :)
 Their faces though.

We did a surprise dinner for my parents.

This child has my heart.
Fourth of July parade.

A local farmer that Daniel grew up working for was the Grand Marshall of the parade.

My father-in-law was in the parade as well. :)

Four Months

Today marks four months since Daniel and I committed our lives to one another...What a wonderful four months it has been. Even though we have been together only a few short months, we have already seen that marriage is challenging but oh so very wonderful. The last 122 days have been filled with struggles and victories, new challenges and many adventures. Whether it's putting up insulation and drywall together in freezing temps in the middle of the night, learning to cut each others hair to try and save money (yes, he cut my hair), discovering what each other likes and dislikes, spending forever in the grocery store because we are going to get the best deal, going camping and sleeping with spiders, learning how to serve the Lord together, starting our own family worship time, the Lord has used all of it to bring Daniel and I closer together.

We enjoy many of the same things and enjoy doing life together. Recently Daniel took me hiking on Blood Mountain. It was a beautiful day and the view was incredible.

"I lift up my eyes to the mountains – where does my help come from?" Psalm 121:1

We could see Atlanta from the very top.

Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2

This marriage thing is hard work, the most powerful sanctification tool we have ever experienced and absolutely wonderful all at the same time. Daniel is my rock, my leader, and the one who gently pushes me closer to my Savior. This morning as I reflect on the last four months my heart is bursting with gratitude for the gift of marriage. It is a beautiful thing...
